Artist Profile: Nihaal Faizal “I always work with what exists—whether it’s an object, an image, or a document. Sometimes presenting the thing itself does the trick—isolating it, pointing it out, combining it with more of itself. Sometimes I find that it needs an additional gesture—maybe a method of reproduction, to bring out something that I want to highlight. Occasionally, the thing does not speak, no matter the effort, and in these cases I try to find something else that can stand-in for it.” —Nihaal Faizal is interviewed by Anisha Baid for our Artist Profile series. read on the blog Nihaal Faizal, KA03 AC4712 (2022) from the series ‘Emergency Vehicle’.
