KIMZIN CREATIVE, in partnership with Creative Sonoma Announce Inaugural BIPOC Producers Lab

Hi Sonoma County Fam!

It’s Nikko here, Founder and Lead Consultant at Kimzin Creative (local arts and equity consulting group) here to share and get support blasting a brand new professional development opportunity for Sonoma County arts and culture workers!

The Kimzin Creative BIPOC PRODUCERS LAB ( INFO PACKET LINK HERE) is an innovative, nine-month professional development program designed foster the growth and success of (2) emerging Sonoma County-based BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) producers. Both emerging producers selected will receive a $1,500 a month stipend ($13,500 total) to support their participation. The Lab will provide workshops with industry professionals and direct mentorship for participants to gain: foundational knowledge of artistic production, and event production skills as event producers for ASAMBLEA. Additionally, participants will have a budget of $10,000 to conceptualize, develop, and produce their own artistic or cultural event for the community by the end of the program term. One of the emerging producer roles will be filled by a bilingual participant to ensure inclusivity. The application portal (LINK HERE) opens today, September 25 and will close on October 15 at 3:00pm PT. Sonoma County residents 18 years or older can apply.
