| Don’t miss an enlightening artist talk featuring SF Camerawork’s current Artist in Residence, Tricia Rainwater, in conversation with Delphine Sims, Assistant Curator of Photography at SFMOMA. This program celebrates Rainwater’s debut solo exhibition, The Tellings We Keep, on view through November 29th. In this body of work, Rainwater explores themes of memory, landscape, and identity through her Choctaw heritage—blending photography, sculpture, sound, archival materials, and other natural elements to reflect on place, belonging, and the intergenerational transmission of knowledge and trauma. Guiding the conversation is Delphine Sims, whose curatorial practice and research focus on photography, race, and representations of the American West. Her thoughtful approach to visual culture and deep engagement with contemporary photographers make her an ideal moderator to delve into Rainwater’s layered and evocative practice. |
