We’re excited to announce our participation in Around Here, the inaugural edition of Further Triennial, a region-wide celebration of Northern California’s creative and cultural life.
As part of Further’s programming, Bolinas Museum will present :

Sophie Calle: PLOTS,

a two-part exhibition of work and a public art commission by renowned French artist Sophie Calle (b. 1953, Paris) curated by Natasha Boas and Jessica Shaefer with Sophia Sanzo-Davis, on view from March 27 – June 10, 2027.
The presentation marks Calle’s return to Bolinas, honoring her decades-long relationship with the community and landscape. “It would be nice to meet you beforehand…” will be on view in the museum galleries and will feature works from Bay Area collections that reflect on life and death, secrecy and revelation, through Calle’s signature humor and personal narrative.

An off-site public art commission, Here Lie Our Secrets, will launch with a daylong interactive performance with the artist on March 27 at the Bolinas Cemetery on Calle’s future burial plot.

We’re honored to join more than 80 organizations across the region in highlighting Northern California’s vibrant art ecosystem. Stay tuned for more information to come!
