SRJC Art History Lecture : Heidi Saleh

Please join Art History Professor Heidi Saleh on Tues. 4/14 for a lecture examining Claude Monet’s celebrated 1908 Venetian campaign.

Designed as a companion to the Monet and Venice exhibition currently on view (3/21/26 – 7/26/26) at the de Young Museum in San Francisco, this talk will explore the historical and stylistic context of Monet’s time in the Floating City. We will analyze his approach to seriality, his technique for capturing light on water, and how these canvases fit into the broader trajectory of late Impressionism.  Whether you have already visited the de Young exhibition or are planning a trip, this lecture will provide a deeper framework for appreciating and engaging with these works.

Please invite your students and members of the community.
