• International Center of Photography’s Street Photo Zine | Deadline: 1/6, Fee: FREE, Submission: 1 image via Instagram, Selection Includes: Publication in ICP’s Street Photo Zine, as well as possible inclusion social media features and local display.
• Noorderlicht Biennale’s 2025 Open Call “Machine Entanglements” (Exhibition + Honorarium) | Deadline: 1/6, Fee: FREE, Submission: Images, project statement, CV, Selection Includes: Selected works will be produced and installed for exhibitions in the summer of 2025, as well as included in a public program, guided tours, workshops, and discussions during the 2025 Biennale, Exhibition Location: Groningen, Netherlands.
• Float Magazine’s “Whispering Shadows” (Online Exhibition) | Deadline: 1/7, Fee: FREE, Submission: 1-3 images, Exhibition Dates: TBA.
• Soho Photo Gallery’s Krappy Kamera Competition 2025 (+ Exhibition) | Deadline: 1/7, Fee: $45, Submission: Up to 5 images, with additional images costing $5/image, Awards: Three awards range from $100 to $300, Exhibition Dates: Exhibition opens March 6, 2025, Exhibition Location: Soho Photo Gallery, New York, NY, USA. Restriction: This call is specifically open to images made using “lousy lenses” (e.g. Holga, Diana, pinhole, etc.).
• The V&A Parasol Foundation’s Prize for Women in Photography (Award + Exhibition) | Deadline: 1/8, Fee: FREE, Submission: Up to 20 images, artist statement, bio, exhibition installation mockup, Award Includes: Four artists will be awarded exhibition at Peckham 24 festival in London in 2025, international travel and two nights’ accommodation during the festival, £2000 bursaries, and more.
• Booooooom’s 2024 Photo Awards | Deadline: 1/10, Fee: FREE+, Submission: 1 image (free) or 10 images ($20), Awards: Photographers in five different categories will receive $1,000 awards.
• World Photography Organisation’s Sony World Photography Awards (Professional Section) | Deadline: 1/3, Fee: FREE, Submission: 5-10 Images, Awards: Various prizes include $25,000, Sony digital imaging equipment, a solo exhibition, flights to award ceremony in London, publication in the yearly awards book, and more. Restriction:Submitted photos must have been taken in 2024 and can be submitted in one of 10 categories.
• World Press Photo’s 2025 World Press Photo Contest Awards (+ Exhibition + Publication) | Deadline: 1/10, Fee: FREE, Submission: Single images, stories (4-10 images), or long-term projects (24-30 images), Awards: 42 winning artists will receive €1,000 and have their images included in the World Press Photo year-long exhibition, as well as published in the annual World Press Photo book, and more.
• Aperture’s Portfolio Prize | Deadline: 1/10, Free: FREE (with print subscription to Aperture magazine), Submission: 10-15 Images, optional installation images, statement of work, CV/resume, bio, Prize: The first-prize winner will be published in Aperture magazine and will receive a $5,000 cash prize, a $1,000 gift card, and a presentation by Aperture in NYC; four shortlisted artists will receive a $1,000 cash prize each and an editorial feature by Aperture.
